The “demographic winter” is typical of the majority of the European countries.  An obvious solution to these demographic challenges might be a good family policy in the Member States. Bearing in mind the good examples and best practices, Members should consult more on the matter.

It is necessary to highlight the role of marriage among the different types of relationships. According to surveys, marriage is the most productive relationship in terms of childbirth rate. Furthermore, health and psychological problems occur the least in marriages. We are pleased that – in line with the majority opinion of our country – the Fundamental Law of Hungary especially protects the institution of marriage.
